Wake County Senior Games 2026 season kicks off March 27 & wraps up May 28!
Registration Requirements:
All participants must be age 50 or older by December 31st of the competition year.
All participants must be a North Carolina resident for a minimum of three (3) consecutive months annually.
Doubles/Team Events: The younger partner/youngest team member's age determines the age group you will be competing in.
SilverArts (Arts/Literary): Entries must be original, created after age 50, and not previously entered in state finals.
For ALL Doubles & Mixed Doubles events, at least one person from the duo MUST be a Wake County resident!
Basketball Tournament: at least one person (preferably the team captain) MUST be a Wake County resident!
Early Bird Registration:
February 1 - February 15
$15.00 per person
Standard Registration:
February 16 - March 1
$20.00 per person
* PLEASE NOTE * There is an extra fee for: Golf ($20) & Pickleball ($10/person per event)

Each athlete must complete an individual registration and pay registration fees online in order to participate. Your partner/team must be named at time of registration. You may register online after the team has been registered by your team captain. If you are in need of help finding a partner to compete with, check out our “PartnerFinder” tool to connect with another athlete!

All performers must complete an individual registration form and pay registration fees in order to compete.
Performing arts (follies & cheerleading) must submit the required performance information that is listed in the registration portal for each group or solo act.
Captains of performing arts groups must submit a participant roster. All detailed information and individual registrations are due by March 1.

Registration and activity fees for all Wake County Senior Games events are non-refundable.
Please notify the Local Coordinator AND your Event Manager if you are unable to attend.

YOU will be responsible for securing a partner - Wake County Senior Games will not facilitate any pairings. We encourage you to email, talk on the phone or meet with your potential matchup PRIOR to selection to ensure you both agree to the pairing. Once you have found a partner, both people must email wakecountyseniorgames@gmail.com and notify staff so we can update our list.
Policies & Details
Registration for Wake County Senior Games is open annually from February 1 — March 1. Any registrations after March 1 will not be considered. Registration is processed online; if you need assistance with registration, please call (919) 996-4730 or reach out to your local Parks and Recreation agency.
The registration fee includes entry into any/all athletic events and/or SilverArts entries, a seasonal medal, souvenir t-shirt and gift. That’s right - you can sign up for multiple events!
All entry fees and donations are used to pay for expenses, including equipment, rental of facilities, insurance, t-shirts, medals, event officials, printing and postage.

WCSG follows North Carolina Senior Games rules. Visit the NCSG website here to view the rules that are updated on an annual basis.
Sportsmanlike conduct of everyone (including participants, spectators, volunteers and staff) is expected. Wake County Senior Games Officials have the authority to disqualify and/or remove - from current and future WCSG programs - anyone who exhibits inappropriate behavior or a condition of medical concern. Falsifying information in the registration process will not be permitted and may result in disqualification from current and future Senior Games activities.
Participants may provide their own equipment provided the Event Manager determines it meets the official standards set forth by the state, with the exception of any games noted in the rules. Appropriate footwear is required at all activities except for swimming events. Contact the WCSG Events coordinator for more details.

All participants will receive a base medal with their registration. Gold, silver and bronze stars will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each gender and age group for each event. A participant must compete and score in an activity to be eligible for an award and to qualify for NCSG State Finals.
Medals and shirts will be dispersed at the first event in which each participant is registered. Final tshirt and award pick ups will take place at the 2026 Closing Celebration.
NOTE: you MUST update your tshirt size during your registration; we do not order extras of any size, and are unable to swap sizing if the shirt does not fit properly.

All WCSG participants must check-in with event staff 30 minutes prior to each event’s start time at the assigned event location. A photo identification and verification of one’s birth date will be required at all event check-in sites, regardless of how many events you have participated in or how many years you have been competing.
Any participant not reporting to an event on time will be disqualified; any participant unwilling to provide photo identification will be disqualified. All starting times are forfeit times.
There will be no switching of events on the day of competition and on-site registrations will not be accepted. Participating in an event that you are not pre-registered for will result in disqualification.

All participants and spectators must adhere to any safety, rules and/or protocols of any facility in which Wake County Senior Games events are held.
This may include: distancing/spacing, the use of face coverings, temperature checks or any other guidelines to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.
Spectating may be limited for some indoor events.

WCSG officials reserve the right to cancel any event due to insufficient registration and/or combine age groups if fewer than three people sign up in an age group.
In the event of inclement weather, please check your email confirmation information for contact info for each event.
All postponements, cancellations or changes will be announced on our website and an email will be sent for any event related changes.
Tips & Tricks for a Successful Registration
If you have participated in Wake County Senior Games (WCSG) before, you probably already have an account set up. But if you don’t remember, you can reset your username and your password. Be sure to check your spam folder inside your email account for the reset emails.
If you have never participated in WCSG, you’ll need to create an account!
When you register for the Games, please be sure to select “Wake County” from the menu. There are a lot of games, so let’s be sure you get registered for the right one!
